Collegiate-level sections of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (NCNW) participated in a statewide pajama fellowship on Saturday, April 22 at Georgia State University.  This event was an opportunity for collegiate sections of NCNW to network and brainstorm ideas on how to connect throughout the state.

Spearheaded by DeMicha Luster of Atlanta, the pajama event also gave the college students an opportunity to meet their National Vice Chair of NCNW Young Adults and Collegiate and Interim State of Georgia President, Sharah Denton, to ask questions and get insight on the direction of the state and the future of young adults in the council.

Section members from Valdosta State University, Kennesaw State University (soon to be chartered), Georgia State University, Georgia Southern University and University of West Georgia were all in attendance.

The event was supported by the Rockdale-Newton, Valdosta and DeKalb community-based sections and several sponsors.

Collegiate sections throughout the state of Georgia have a goal of connecting and building their sisterhood by sharing ideas and continuing the legacy of the late Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune and Dr. Dorothy Irene Height.
